Sends announced their plan to launch a virtual debit card in 2025

In 2025, Sends customers will be able to use a virtual debit card for online payments. A virtual card functions like a regular payment card, with one key difference: it does not have a physical form.

Sends expands the functionality, allowing users to generate virtual cards in the system. Virtual cards are designed for all online payments and are particularly suitable for subscription services like Spotify, Netflix, and other entertainment platforms. They can be used to pay for car rentals, hotels, and transportation. You can also make purchases online and through apps. The cards are issued in collaboration with Mastercard.

Sends cards are linked to the user’s account and include a 16-digit card number, expiration date, and CVV. In addition to the card details, the user has an IBAN and can easily share bank account details with others.

There are plans to connect Sends cards to online wallets and enable payments using mobile services like Google Pay and Apple Pay. The implementation of this feature is scheduled for launch by the end of 2025 or possibly next year.

Shop online with confidence, knowing your security is protected. Physical cards can be misplaced, so be careful when using them. However, with the Sends application, you can easily lock your card anytime.
